Seas The Day_Feature Wall_

For its third year running Seas The Day returns to the beautiful Kingscliff Beach, NSW, on Saturday and Sunday the 21st & 22nd of June. 

Seas the Day 2025 promises to be a vibrant, empowering, and uplifting experience for women of all abilities.

The festival space will be buzzing with entertainment and dynamic HUBS, where keynote speakers dive into everything from the ins and outs of successful careers, training regimes, film and photography, mental well-being, and much more.

Our wellness program is once again packed with immersive workshops, including yoga, ice baths, and apnea breathwork, offering the ultimate blend of movement, mindset, and connection.

SEAS THE DAY HUBS

Seas The Day is more than just a surf competition. Across the weekend, three dynamic spaces—the ‘Ruffie Wellness Hub’, the ‘Tracks Stage’ and the ‘Nutra Organics Stage’—host a diverse range of workshops and talks.

AWAKE ACADEMY WITH LAYNE BEACHLEY AO

Layne Beachley’s Awake Academy offers to inspire and empower individuals to reach their full potential. The 7x World Champion shares personal stories, insights, and tools to help others develop the mindset and skills needed to succeed in life.

RISING TO VICTORY: WOMEN AS CHAMPIONS

Join us for a rare Q&A with surfing legend Wendy Botha, hosted by Layne Beachley. They’ll share epic stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and plenty of laughs in an unfiltered conversation celebrating one of surfing’s most elusive female pioneers.

TIDES OF CHANGE: THE JOURNEY OF INDIGENOUS SURFERS

Indigenous surfers Amber Mercy, Leihani Zoric, Bohdi Simons, and Jody Barsby share their journey across generations and surf crafts. Honoring their ancestors, they preserve culture, share stories, and shape the future of Indigenous surfing.

MOVEMENT & RECOVERY

A variety of transformative experiences to promote holistic wellbeing, including yoga, strength and conditioning, and ice bath therapy. Led by skilled instructors, participants will deepen their practice, challenge themselves, and discover the transformative potential of movement and recovery.

TRAIN LIKE A FEMALE

Join Candice Land, founder of The Female Surfer and World Surf League Exercise Physiologist, as she shares the missing links in surf conditioning training. You will be guided through a series of challenging exercises that are designed to increase your strength, connection, flow and fitness for surfing. 

OLYMPIC SPORTS DIETITIAN

Sally was lead dietitian for the Australian Team at Tokyo 2020 and the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. She’s also worked in NRL, AFL, and at the NSW Institute of Sport, supporting 25+ sports and athletes from emerging talent to Olympic and Paralympic medallists.

ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS

A very special Q&A with surfing legends – Jodie Cooper, Pam Burridge, and Pauline Menczer, as they discuss their pioneering journeys and the legacy they’ve left for future generations. This is not to be missed!

WOMEN SHAPING THE SURF INDUSTRY

Anna Constable (She Creative Army) and Avalon Starick (XO COCO) are reshaping the surfboard industry with artistry, sustainability, and inclusivity—challenging norms and highlighting the rise of female board builders in a traditionally male-dominated space.

NEXT GEN: WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE A PRO SURFER IN 2025

Step into the world of Leihani Zoric and Quincy Symonds—two surfers living the dream, traveling the world, promoting women in the water. Free from contest pressure, they showcase surfing’s artistic side through film, photography, and storytelling, highlighting creativity, culture, and what matters most to them.
